The Croatian National Tourist Board has begun implementing promotional activities on one of the most important in-bound markets for Croatian tourism, Germany.

This is an “early booking” campaign that will be active until the end of March on the strongest booking platforms on the German market, such as Expedia.de, Urlaubspiraten.de, Weg.de and Reisereporter.de.

“In some markets, the trend of earlier travel bookings is again evident, for example on our top market, Germany, where we decided to conduct this campaign. Our goal is to position our country as one of the top foreign destinations for Germans and we are sure that many of them will book their trips this year much earlier than in the last two years in which, due to the corona virus pandemic, we had so-called last-minute demand”, said the Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board Kristjan Staničić, adding that the aforementioned campaign plans to achieve almost 10 million impressions.

As part of the campaign, the emphasis will be on those tourist products for which the German market has shown the greatest interest which are namely – sun and the sea, nautical, active tourism and culture. An additional feature of this campaign is that the promotion of Croatia will take place through landing pages that are exclusively dedicated to our country and located on platforms where users can immediately book accommodation, which has a positive impact on the increase in reservations during the preseason.

In addition is important to note, that last year, according to the eVisitor system, Croatia recorded 21.2 million overnights from the German market, which matches the results from the record 2019.
