Located in the shadow on mountain Biokovo, Makarska Riviera became very popular tourist attraction.
It’s 37 miles long fine-pebble beach beyond which are located pines that create shadow. There are lots of hotels and hostels there for people on holidays.

Following the seaside promenade and rocky footpath east towards Makarska town, you can find many secluded coves. One of the most famous beaches is Punta Rata, located south from Makarska, along the Makarska Riviera.
The arrow-shaped Punta Rata beach flashes more bling than most and is often rated among the beaches in the country, if not the world. It is suitable for relaxing, spending time with friends or family, or riding a bike.
